Island House
Island House is a south facing home that utilises a north opening roof form to draw sunshine and sky light into the house.
A kitchen island sits central to the living spaces of the house and ties in with the raking ceiling geometry.
Bi-fold doors open a slither of side passage courtyard to extend the space of the kitchen in fine weather. High level windows admit northern sunlight over the kitchen and living spaces.
A heavy masonry fireplace and chimney aligns with the kitchen island bench and anchors the rear elevation of the house. A rear deck, flush with the interior, steps down to the garden level.
